Brainstem Nuclei

Price: 0

Description:
Neuronal groups define functional nuclei (groups) along the course of the brainstem. Cranial nerves are more complicated than spinal nerves due to added senses and motor, special senses, components for parasympathetic system, gill arch sensory nerves and additional gill arch motor expressions."

Excerpt from the Presentation:

Neuronal groups in the spinal cord form neuronal columns that have the same dorsal/ ventral plan throughout the brainstem. The brainstem adds a motor column for special visceral efferents (SVE) for branchiogenic muscles (gill arch muscles). As in the cord, the sulcus limitans divides motor and sensory along the course of the brainstem. Cranial nerves are more complicated than spinal nerves due to added special senses, the parasympathetic system and gill arch sensory and motor components.
