The 4th Ventricle floor has paired medial eminences along the midline. At this level, the facial colliculus budges, dorsally, into the floor of the 4th ventricle (arrow). This prominence is due to the 7th nerve forming a rostral loop around the the abducens nucleus with fibers exiting, ventrally. The medial lemniscus bounds the pons separating it from the tegmentum. Paired 7th nerve bundles are lateral and the 6th nerve bundles more medial. The massive middle cerebellar peduncles are lateral.
