Silver reactions of motoneurons shows high concentration of neurofilaments in axons, somas and the base of dendrites but these filaments are sparse in distal parts of dendrites. Neuronal somata have a cytoskeleton of neurofilaments that cross the soma from dendrite to dendrite.
